With the arrival of the Schutt F7 VTD Helmet, the protective headwear game has taken a jump to the next level. The F7 is the first helmet to feature padding on the outside of a shell as Schutt's Three Dimensional Movement System (3DM) places strategically located Tektonic Plates on top of a layer of TPU cushioning. The plates move independently of the helmet in multiple directions, helping to manage rotational energy and absorb impacts. The two plates also give the helmet its unique look, which make it easy to spot on the field.
Inside the helmet, the innovations continue with a new Radian Diffusion System liner, which moves independently of the helmet, providing yet another level of protection. A multi-layed front pad combines TPU, vinyl nitrile and comfort foam to protect one of the most common impact zones.
The helmet also features tried and true Schutt protection features like TPU cushioning which has been increased in high impact areas due to the new Flexural Resistance Shell Design. Incorporating a larger, more comfortable jaw pad configuration for a locked in feel with internal and external stabilizers.
